[discuss] Documenting re-usability of vapes found on the ground
I have been collecting vapes that are left on the street around Berlin for the past year and a half and want to start deconstructing them to reuse the components for things. I was recently talking to Arne about how they all have computers in them as well as batteries and that I have only seen people reuse the batteries so far. Arne discovered that some of them even have ARM CPUs in them. Here is an article about one with a 48MHz Arm Cortex-M0! So I would like to start putting the information I find somewhere and was thinking the permacomputing wiki would be a good place for that, if anyone has any thoughts about the matter I would be happy to hear them.
I led a workshop at this year’s Electronic Faire at the makerspace at the library of Temple University in Philadelphia. The theme of the conference was “Low Tech” and definitely included a lot of folks interested in PMC-related issues.
