[discuss] permapublishing
The least technical solution but most likely to work is to make works that people want to bring into the future.
the most sustainable books are the ones that are already printed
We gathered in Paris over the last two days with peers from the PrePostPrint network where we revived the conversation around permapublishing that started last September in Strasbourg: what can it be?
First, we took an hour on Friday to explore what was discussed in Strasbourg and what we are thinking about when we use the word permapublishing. We talked about printing infrastructure, choosing your dependencies and layout software, and it was pretty clear that one hour was not enough to put our teeth deeper into this question. We gathered again today, to continue the conversation, which resulted in a lot of notes and an even stronger wish to continue this conversation. We decided to gather here on this brand new forum 📫 to continue this conversation.
So voila, here we are :).
We talked about splitting the conversation into multiple parts, but when thinking about it in the train home again it is starting to make less sense to do that already now. One proposal that we ended our conversation earlier today
