A Look at the 2025 Invest NYC Summit with NYCEDC and AFIRE

As part of AFIRE’s recent 2025 Annual Member Meeting, AFIRE partnered with the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) on the first-ever AFIRE/NYCEDC Invest NYC Summit, which gathered real estate investment leaders from around the world to explore the investment opportunities in New York as a gateway to expanding US investment.

Featuring civic, business, and investment leaders across a host of unique New York venues, the Summit offered AFIRE members and guests a compelling look at the numerous initiatives New York City has taken to attract property market investment in the post-COVID era, with “much of it driven by the Economic Development Corporation,” says NYCEDC President & CEO Andrew Kimball.

The morning featured talks from numerous city officials, a ferry tour featuring some of the EDC’s successful developments, and a panel discussion on Roosevelt Island, led by AFIRE CEO Gunnar Branson.
